Luci e ombre proposes a union between ash wood and brass. The design, ideated by Ferruccio Laviani, shows a balanced and absolutely original geometrical pattern. The fixed handle characterized by a polyhedral design is clad in wood and it reminds the door texture itself creating a perfect integration. Luci e ombre also comes in different precious wood types, such as Birman teak, Slavonia oak and European larch. The brass inserts can be substituted with the use of different materials, such as steel, glass, gold, or pearl.
Intarsio is the story of a union: the natural tones of the ash wood encounter the shining brass in an unexpected, yet fascinating collision of different shades and colors. The ash wood is heat-treated under specific man-controlled atmospherical condition, that modifies the physical characteristics of the material and makes it more resistant while it enhances the natural pearl shades. The majestic brass gives an impressive personality to this piece and it guarantees high insulation capabilities. Intarsio collection is also proposed with the use of different precious materials to substitute the brass, such as steel, copper, and bronze, or alternatively leather and stones.
